Eurovision Song Contest

*****

So.........how did it all begin...

It was in January 1955 that a committee was formed and charged to create a broadcast event susceptible to federate Europe. It had to be only for one night, so the commitee decided to set up a competition between new traditional songs of every country in Europe : the Eurovision Song Contest was born ! The contest isn't without having the Festival of San Remo in mind, which by that time was already 4 years old.

Songs from 3 minutes till 3 min. 30 sec. representing their country, each accompanied with her own conductor and a jury noting each of the titles: the big bases of the competition were put!
